Movement & Awareness Classes – improving personal fitness
Balance and Fear of Falling – 6 one hour sessions – Mon., Jan 16th – Feb 20th, 1:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m.
Learn simple exercises designed to use the body’s available movement. Increase or re-develop balance through understanding the relationship of how the body counter balances and supports movement with little effort. using less effort and stress you can increase mobility in any function such as rolling over, sitting, standing, walking, turning, reaching etc. Based on the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education.
Movement & Awareness Workshops – ability development
Breathing becomes Easier with Awareness – Sat., Feb 11th, 10 a.m. – noon
A new experience of increasing exhalation through the natural contraction and expansion of the rib cage will allow fuller inhalation naturally without forcing air to enter. Gentle exercises to explore the organic pattern of breathing and at the same time increasing awareness of sensing inner breath movements. Notice as you breath in if you fill your upper chest (lungs) or if you fill your belly. If you notice you expand your belly, where is your in breath going? We do not have lungs in our bellies. Come find out more and enjoy the natural benefits of more oxygen, increased calm and organic stress release. Breathing awareness can create a similar experience of clarity and spaciousness as meditation without any dogma and theory. Based upon the scientific design and available patterns of physical movement.
High Heel Fitness – Sat., March 10th, 10 a.m. – noon
Discover balance and develop a fantastic high heel walk that will support your physical movement along with great looking calf’s. Enjoy learning through the experience. A fun way to introduce body movement awareness and improve wearing the beautiful and latest fashion accessory.
